Chris E. Franklin Photography has been renamed, rebranded and relocated! Click on the banner below to redirect to the new home of Franklin Photography!
Why the change? Chris E. Franklin Photography initially started out as a blog which Chris used as a platform to publish his images to a wider audience and thereby allowing friends, family and other visitors the opportunity to offer their comments and critique. In time, we started doing more and more shoots for clients and friends, and with it came the launch of our photography business. With Marike sharpening up her own technical skills she became an integral part of the team which is now known as Franklin Photography.
We look forward to growing the business and most importantly – continuing to offer our clients quality, personalised service and good value for money!
When Quinten and Aileen asked us to photograph their wedding we were very excited. We knew that their creativity and attention to detail would make it a memorable occasion. The festivities took place on the Taljaard’s farm near Upington. Namakwari was bustling with activity as people came from near and far to help with the preparations. Everything was hand-made, from the bales and raisin racks that served as tables, to the freshly baked pizzas and ciabattas. Not even the rain was able to spoil the festivities as friends and family celebrated their marriage.
I went on a quick business trip to the USA in March. First stop was Washington DC for a weekend with my brother, his wife and two kids (now three!). Also popped in at the National Air and Space Museum at the Udvar-Hazy Centre.
The spontaneous interaction between Marius and Rentia on their wedding day made our job much easier. Being close friends with them, it was a great honour to be up close during these special moments. Their was a special air of excitement building up to the wedding, as all the friends and family travelled down to Mosselbay for the big day. It was a very intimate wedding on the beach followed by a great feast at De Vette Mossel. Truly a day to remember!
Marius and Rentia’s wedding was a really special day. We know many people eagerly waiting to see some of these beautiful moments. We are still hard at work with the rest of the photos, but here is a short preview.
We have another wedding coming up this weekend! Look forward to spend the day with Quinten and Aileen. Here’s a few shots from her kitchen tea. Marike was there to capture all the pink, champagne and charades.
